Many thanks to the people who have returned their information forms. It makes this a lot easier to have plenty of time to plan. Remember, the last person to reply will get the last room in the hotel – whatever it is (and it will not be the penthouse) Other notes:
Among the things that you may want to bring are disposable underwater cameras. If you have a mask and snorkel tube there is good underwater viewing everywhere. The hotel has some equipment to use and they are rentable from dive shops. Also, pack toiletries in plastic bags in your suitcase. Lotions tend to burst due to pressure changes.
In case you didn’t know, you can print out portions of the blog. Just highlight the portion, copy it, paste it to word or notebook and print.

Here is another sight to visit. www.stcroixthisweek.com. This is the website of a free magazine that you can pick up everywhere on the island. It has a lot of touristy information. The one that you will see on line is the current issue. As we get closer, more events will pertain.
Cell phones – as far as Julie knows all cell phones are operable in most places on the island. Remember, I said most.
Carl Goretski has thrown out the challenge for golfers. Now, Carl has never played in an Eastwind golf tournament so we have no way of knowing his capabilities or limitations. Further, we don’t know if he is good at playing from sand traps or if he is a good sand bagger. Speaking of Carl, he and Fran will be hosting a Sangria Fiesta on Wednesday evening. This will be from 5:00 to 7:00 and will also feature Steve Katz, a great guitarist and a friend of many years.
People interested in fishing should let me know. Captain Carl tells me that the anglers can bring back most of the catch and Julie says that the hotel kitchen will cook it up for you for dinner. The cost of the boat is $600.00 for a 4 to 6 hour trip for up to 6 people. So, a party of 5 would come to 120.00 per person, 6 would be 100.00 per.
The next update will address island critters, among other things.
